Event Description
Rules Version / Common Mistakes / Special Rules:
Five-player games are preferred in the heats, with smaller tables as necessary.
The starting player will be determined randomly in the heats.
Money is public in all games.
The first tie breaker is money. The second is: lowest numbered Profession card on display at the end of the game.
You may bid more money than you have, assuming you have sufficient Prestige Points to make up the difference in the event that you win the auction.
You may not bid on a Landscape or Builder if you would be unable to place it on your board.
The GM may impose strict time controls on any game that appears to be running behind schedule.
Elimination rounds:
In elimination rounds, we will bid for seating positions.
If at least 35 people play in the tournament, all winners will advance to the semi-final. Otherwise, only players with 2 wins are guaranteed to advance. We will accept enough alternates to make the number of players in the semi a multiple of 5. If there is only 1 table in the semi then it becomes the final. Otherwise, the best 5 results from the semi advance to a five-player final.
