Event Description
  1. We will prefer 4 player games (with 3-player games as necessary depending on number of players per heat).
  2. Games will consist of cards from Dominion and Dominion: Prosperity, and may include the Envoy Promo, but not the Black Market Promo.
    • The actual sets used will be determined by those who bring the game, and if more people have brought the game than are necessary, then priority will be given to those who have brought the base game and the Prosperity expansion.
    • Cards used at a given table will be determined by first flipping up 2 cards at random from the seed pile. Then, each player will be dealt 5 cards, and will secretly choose 2. Once all have chosen, the chosen cards will be revealed, and that will be the set of 10 used.
  3. Players will play two rounds at the same table, with the start position reversed for the second round. The second round's card selection is done the same way.
  4. Games end as per the standard Dominion Rules (Provinces are exhausted, or any three piles are exhausted).
  5. Advancement rules:
    • There will be a semi-final. All players with two wins in the heats (see Placement Points method below for determining positions in the heats) will advance to the semis.
    • The semi-final will be 16 players (four four-player games). The final will be 4 players. The semifinals and final will use the same method as described above.
    • Points for placement shall be awarded in each game played per heat or round:
      1st: 15
      2nd: 7
      3rd: 3
      4th: 1
    • To determine a player's position (first, second, third, etc.), the total placement points in both games shall be combined. As a tie-break: total points over the other players in the game that was won.
For example, if player A comes in first in round 1: 40, 30, 20, 10
And second in the second round: 35, 25, 24, 22
And player B did the opposite, player A and B would have 65 points each for first tie break.
      Player A won by 10+20+30 = 60
      Player B won by 10+11+13 = 34
so player A would be the winner.
